4-05-08 Work Work Work

Getting three hours of sleep is not the best feeling in the world. I went to bed at like two in the morning and woke up feeling like hell! It was really bad. On top of that I accidentally spilled tea all over the lounge and everyone started snickering and staring at me. Over all it was not a very good morning and I was relieved when we left. I have to admit that in the beginning, even though Thomsen kept saying this was going to be a lot of work, I had no idea how tough this trip was going to be. After a full day of riding we have to get our journals in, photos archived, the daily trip log done and then homework. Holy crap. To all of you back home who think this is a vacation, cmon on down. This totally kicks your butt. After running a few errands we loaded into the cars, got the bikers on the road and headed for Little Rock, Arkansas. At first all we did in the car was catch up on work, but as the morning progressed we all started to nod off to sleep. When we woke up we went back to the same routine, which included nodding off to sleep. The morning weather was really muggy and rainy and first. Then as the day progressed the sun burnt off the bad weather and around noon it was blue skies. It was kind of chilly though which was a bummer, but it wasn’t too bad. Also everything smelled great because of the rain! It was really cool when we went over the Mississippi river! I never knew it was so big! Also because its been raining so much, some of the houses that we drove by looked like they were flooded. I felt really bad for all of those people. We finally arrived in Hot Springs, which is where we are staying for the night. Jeff’s aunt Katie was kind enough to let us sleep at her breathtaking house. On top of that she made us a wonderful dinner! I'm still stuffed with all of the food I ate! After dinner we watched a movie and now I’m writing. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be pretty nice! I can’t wait! It also sounds like there is going to be a lot of riding so hopefully a good breakfast will give me a good energy boost!
