4-08-08 Today was very confusing indeed.

Today was very confusing indeed. This morning I wasn’t sure if we were going to continue the trip or if we were getting our butts on the bus or plane and going home. So Ally, Sydney, and I all went down to the restaurant in the hotel and had a lovely breakfast. After we ate breakfast we all got dressed and called another meeting to make sure that everyone understood what I was saying last night at the meeting with all the cyclists. We discussed behavior issues, people not turning in their work, and communication issues. We put the riders out and went all the way to Tucumcari, New Mexico, which took about 8 hours total. After the riders finished their ride we got off the exit to Route 66 and Thomsen told me to go in the grocery store and buy some food for dinner. I went in, grabbed dinner, and put the groceries in the car and then all of a sudden everyone gets out of the car and is running towards this weird looking house on main street next to the grocery store. Jennifer was actually outside of the house taking pictures and the man came out and was just talking to her and then said, "well come on in and see us perform." When I went inside all of or group was already seated and the man on stage was like, “ooooh I love me some good looking teenage girls” and I just laughed and said okay thanks. Then this woman dressed in overalls and a t-shirt said hello too. Turns out these people are the famous hillbillies and are known all over the world for giving great performances. There gift shop had all of these posters, drinks, money jars and even more strange things around. While there, we played tambourines and sang along with the locals, it was really cool and fun. After the stop on highway 66, we headed towards Tucumcari, New Mexico. I called and booked a Best Western hotel for when we arrive. It is nice and their beds are supposed to be very comfortable. I cooked a great, easy dinner for everyone, which I named Frito Don Fito. Basically its fritos, chili with beans, cheese, and sour cream. It's really easy and seems to taste good so I think everyone enjoyed it. Actually, at this time of night they didn’t really have a choice. When Jeff came back he started going off about how we always ask him to do stuff for us. It really made me upset because it seemed that he was yelling at me specifically and I didn’t think it was fair because I never ask him for anything, so I just simply went to my room and got ready for bed. I called my mom and I told her what happen. She said don’t worry about it and it will be cool. Then Jeff apologized and everything was cool again.
